As a Medical Director, MD/DO, you will oversee a small panel of patients, manage and mentor primary care providers and nurse practitioners, and ensure the delivery of exceptional care. Medical Director, MD/DO - Summary
- Lead a primary care center focused on seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Full-time, clinically integrated leadership role with an emphasis on value-based care.
- Oversee clinical staff, including primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and support teams.
- Drive quality improvement and patient outcomes through mentorship and operational excellence.
- Participate in ongoing leadership and clinical training with opportunities for career advancement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day clinical operations within the primary care center, ensuring the highest standards of care for a senior patient population.
- Provide comprehensive medical services to a small patient panel (typically 60–90 patients) to allow for individualized, ongoing care.
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
- Implement value-based care strategies and clinical best practices to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Engage in and facilitate specialized training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, PCP Essentials, and Medical Director Leadership Pathways.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists (including cardiology and podiatry) and holistic health practitioners to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
- Participate in center operations management, including medical economics, financial performance, and growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Utilize electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and coordination.
- Travel locally and occasionally regionally for clinical and leadership responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, or a closely related specialty.
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; prior leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as part of the role.
