Medical Director Position Overview
We are a physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization dedicated to transforming healthcare for seniors in Palm Beach County, FL. As a Medical Director (MD/DO), you will play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic clinical team focused on providing value-based care to a senior patient population. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), ensuring high-quality, patient-centered medical services while supporting the organization's mission to honor seniors with affordable VIP care that delivers better health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary clinical team, including primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Oversee a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, focusing on those with multiple chronic diseases, and ensure continuity and consistency of care.
- Implement and promote value-based care strategies to achieve optimal health outcomes for patients.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, to provide comprehensive, integrated care.
- Promote holistic health services such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition as part of patient wellness initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze clinical operations and financial performance, using data-driven insights to guide improvements.
- Participate in leadership training programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways Program, to continually enhance leadership skills.
- Support professional development and mentorship opportunities for clinical staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical, legal, and ethical standards in clinical operations.
- Engage in local and occasional regional travel as required for organizational and professional responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
