Your expertise in insurance processes, claim forms, and payer requirements will be highly valued as you investigate and resolve denied, underpaid, or unresolved insurance claims. By maintaining a keen eye for detail and leveraging your strong problem-solving skills, you will contribute significantly to the financial health of the organizations you support.
In this capacity, you will collaborate with a team of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering best-in-class revenue cycle and accounts receivable support services. The environment is fast-paced, requiring adaptability and a passion for uncovering solutions to complex billing challenges. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will interact with both commercial and government payers, conduct detailed account research, and communicate effectively with insurance carriers, clients, and internal teams to ensure the timely resolution of claims.

The fully remote work model allows you to contribute from anywhere, while still enjoying the benefits of a full-time position. You will also benefit from comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, as well as paid time off, sick leave, paid holidays, and ongoing career growth opportunities.
To excel as a Medical Billing Specialist, you should possess at least 1-2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, with a strong background in hospital and/or physician billing. Familiarity with insurance follow-up, denial management, and billing forms such as UB-04 or HCFA 1500 is crucial. Experience with leading healthcare billing and EHR systems—such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson, Allscripts, or Soarian—will further support your success in this position.
Medical Billing Specialists are required to multitask efficiently across multiple software applications and systems, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office and other internet-based tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for the position, while an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. The physical requirements of the role are typical for remote work, including the ability to sit for extended periods, frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and claim resolution.
