Medical Biller and Coder (CPC) - Full-TimeWolinsky Primary Care is actively seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller and Coder (CPC) to join our dedicated team in Fayetteville, NC. As a full-time team member, you will play a crucial role in the administrative and financial operations of our patient-centered primary care clinic. This position offers the benefit of a four-day workweek, Monday through Thursday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the efficient and compassionate care provided by our practice.
Responsibilities- Apply accurate coding to patient services following ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines to ensure precise documentation and reimbursement.
- Submit, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims to ensure timely processing, including managing appeals and addressing any rejections.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to services to facilitate efficient billing processes and minimize claim denials.
- Conduct regular audits of coded data and billing processes to maintain compliance with industry standards and reduce errors.
- Maintain effective communication with insurance providers, patients, and internal staff to resolve billing and coding issues promptly.
- Uphold strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a primary care or outpatient environment.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical billing software.
- Strong understanding of insurance guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
- Exceptional attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
