Duties & Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, height, and weight
- Obtain and document patient medical histories, including conditions, medications, and allergies, and communicate pertinent information to physicians
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed
- Assist physicians with medical examinations and various clinical procedures
- Administer prescribed injections and vaccinations as ordered by the physician
- Manage specialist referrals and facilitate prior authorization processes for patient care continuity
- Transmit prescriptions to pharmacies via phone or fax as needed
- Change wound dressings and ensure all exam rooms are restocked with necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain clinic instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols
- Relay physician instructions and treatment plans to patients, ensuring understanding and compliance
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, optimizing clinic workflow
- Maintain and update electronic medical records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Monitor patient flow within the clinic to minimize wait times and enhance patient satisfaction
- Answer and place phone calls to assist with appointment coordination, patient inquiries, and prescription needs

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
- Current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification or equivalent credential
