Medical Assistant (MA) - Summary- Full-time position in a busy internal medicine and primary care clinic
- Direct involvement in patient care and administrative functions
- On-the-job EMR and process training provided

- Greet patients, verify insurance, and collect medical histories during patient intake
- Measure and document vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height, and weight
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient draping and equipment setup
- Provide clinical assistance during exams, including wound care, ear washes, and administering injections as permitted
- Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Record patient data, histories, and test results accurately in EMR
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic operations
- Handle phone inquiries, refill prescription requests, and complete insurance forms/prior authorizations
- Educate patients on medication usage, post-procedure care, and health maintenance as directed
- Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment
