Additionally, you will utilize Accountable Care Organization (ACO) tools to help patients access high-value healthcare and follow up with them as needed.

Medical Assistant (MA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare patient charts and maintain accurate health records
- Obtain and record clinical data from patients, including vital signs (blood pressure, weight, temperature)
- Communicate lab and test results to patients as directed by providers
- Manage prescription refills and assist with prescription-related patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments and conduct outreach to patients as needed
- Handle incoming phone calls and direct messages appropriately
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits
- Order laboratory tests as requested by providers
- Administer injections and immunizations following protocols
- Explain common medical procedures and instructions to patients
- Assist providers during basic examinations and procedures
- Utilize Accountable Care Organization (ACO) tools to facilitate access to high-value care
- Follow up with patients to ensure continuity of care and address ongoing needs

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant (MA) training program preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with electronic health records and scheduling systems
