Medical Assistant (MA) Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our family medicine practice as a full-time team member. This role is integral to the daily operations of a private medical office, focusing on providing high-quality patient care and supporting clinical staff. The Medical Assistant (MA) will work closely with healthcare providers and administrative personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. This full-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who value a supportive, collaborative environment and are interested in contributing to a privately owned practice outside of the hospital or corporate healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities- Rooming patients and preparing them for examination by healthcare providers
- Taking and documenting vital signs and patient medical history accurately
- Preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
- Reviewing and processing incoming medical documents and laboratory results
- Administering immunizations according to established protocols and patient needs
- Scheduling procedures and coordinating patient referrals with other healthcare providers
- Performing miscellaneous in-office laboratory testing as required
- Providing coverage for co-workers during their time off and supporting various office functions as needed
- Utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems efficiently for all patient care activities
- Demonstrating flexibility by cross-training in multiple office areas to enhance workflow and patient care
- Completion of a certified or registered Medical Assistant (MA) program
- At least 1 year of medical office experience
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related technology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in patient documentation and care
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues and adapt to changing office needs
