Medical Assistant (MA) Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment. The ideal candidate is a team player who is committed to patient wellness and thrives in a collaborative clinical setting. This full-time position offers consistent hours, with the clinic operating Monday through Friday and no evening or weekend shifts required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff, such as taking and recording vital signs
- Administer injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Conduct urinalysis (UA) and assist with laboratory specimen collection
- Perform COVID-19, flu, and strep testing using established protocols
- Assist with medication refills, ensuring accuracy and timely communication with pharmacies
- Handle phone triage, responding to patient inquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Assist with processing prior authorizations as needed for medications and procedures
- Support daily clinical operations to facilitate efficient patient flow and excellent service
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate patient records
- Comfortable handling a fast-paced workflow and multi-tasking throughout the workday
- Familiarity with injections, vital signs, laboratory testing, medication refills, and phone triage
