Responsibilities
- Greet patients as they arrive, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact at the front desk.
- Answer incoming phone calls, route inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and provide general information to patients and visitors.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately, coordinating with the clinical team as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness, proper supplies, and readiness for use.
- Maintain detailed and accurate administrative and medical records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the medical staff team to support shared patient care goals.
- Assist with office-based care, including preparing patients for examination, gathering medical history, administering vaccinations, and performing routine diagnostic tests and screenings.
- Monitor and manage inventory of medical and office supplies, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
- Perform additional medical and administrative duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program, or currently enrolled; equivalent medical office work experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- At least 1-2 years of experience working in a medical setting, ideally within a primary care or family health environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) or EMR systems.
- Availability to work one evening per week until 7pm.
