As a Medical Assistant (CMA), your daily responsibilities will involve direct patient interaction, medical testing, and clinical support. You will take and record patient vitals, document critical health information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and assist with a variety of diagnostic tests and procedures. Medical Assistant (CMA) - Summary
- Provide clinical support and patient care under the direction of healthcare providers
- Record and manage patient vital signs and health documentation in EMR systems
- Conduct diagnostic procedures and administer routine medical tests
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
- Handle administrative tasks to ensure efficient healthcare delivery
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate care to adult patients in a clinical setting
- Take and accurately document vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse in the EMR
- Perform and assist with various diagnostic tests, including EKGs, injections, finger sticks for glucose monitoring and A1C, and vaccinations
- Administer swab tests for COVID-19, influenza, and strep throat, and conduct urine dipsticks
- Conduct vision screening using eye charts and perform hearing tests as directed
- Prepare and label lab specimens for accurate shipping to reference laboratories
- Retrieve and respond to voicemail messages promptly, documenting all communications thoroughly
- Communicate test results and follow up with patients as needed
- Clean and restock exam and procedure rooms, ensuring infection control protocols are followed
- Scrub, clean, and sterilize used instruments, including use of an autoclave
- Monitor and manage clinical inventory and supplies
- Complete additional clinical or administrative duties as requested by supervising staff
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience, starting at $18/hour
- Negotiable salary based on qualifications and experience
- Full-time employment offering approximately 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (excluding lunch breaks)

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
