Medical Administrative Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate healthcare delivery plans, identifying market forces, patient demand, and issues impacting capabilities and patient care compliance.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction in both peacetime and contingency settings.
- Research complex healthcare operations and prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for senior management.
- Utilize business intelligence applications to extract, manipulate, and format data from government computer systems.
- Communicate process and policy changes to professional staff and medical administrative personnel.
- Use analytical methodologies to support projects and initiatives covering all aspects of military healthcare activities.
- Validate and implement policies supporting hospital accreditation and quality improvement programs.
- Assist in developing financial plans and budgets for healthcare initiatives; analyze fund utilization with management.
- Support facility construction, modification, and design by researching requirements for patient care and workplace safety.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, information management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in medical administration services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Other Relevant Information
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
- Position requires the ability to work onsite in a professional office environment.
