Mechanical Project Manager - Summary
The Mechanical Project Manager plays a critical role in the orchestration of mechanical construction projects, ensuring that each phase—from planning to execution and closeout—is handled with meticulous attention to safety, quality, and budget. Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety of all field personnel assigned to projects, ensuring a zero-incident work environment.
- Drive field labor productivity, monitor project progress, and maintain rigorous quality assurance and coordination.
- Manage project financial outcomes, including projections, reporting, and cash flow management.
- Direct material and equipment procurement to align with project schedules and budgets.
- Handle change order management, ensuring timely and accurate processing of project modifications.
- Foster strong owner and client relations, acting as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company operating policies, procedures, and executed plans.
- Lead and manage personnel, overseeing the daily work activities of direct reports and providing guidance during working hours.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation, reports, and status updates to internal and external parties.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including designers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor and control project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery.
- Implement best practices for risk management and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- 3-7 years of work-related experience in mechanical construction project management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Works, Project, Access, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time and details effectively.
- Strong organizational skills for handling and archiving technical data.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
