Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the execution of mechanical construction projects in diverse markets, including healthcare, life sciences, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Ensure all assigned projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while upholding the highest quality standards.
- Manage safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness for all field personnel involved in the projects.
- Monitor field labor productivity and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and project outcomes.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure quality assurance and adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Handle project financials, including forecasting, budgeting, and regular financial reporting to key stakeholders.
- Procure materials and equipment necessary for project completion, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Administer and process change orders in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Develop and nurture owner/client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project updates and issue resolution.
- Manage project cash flow to ensure financial stability and resource availability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate direct reports, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and executed plans and programs.
- Remain available to support direct reports during their working hours and address any project-related concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-7 years of construction work-related experience is required, specifically in mechanical project management or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Access, PowerPoint) as well as Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong business mathematics skills and the ability to interpret and act upon various forms of instructions, including written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision, while effectively managing time and project priorities.
- Organizational skills to handle and archive technical data efficiently.
- Commitment to complying with all company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
