Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive management direction for one or more mechanical construction projects, ensuring organizational objectives are met.
- Procure equipment and subcontracts required for project delivery, negotiating terms and ensuring timely acquisition.
- Closely monitor and accurately project job costs, maintaining budgetary compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage billing processes and project schedules to ensure milestones are achieved and financial goals are met.
- Offer technical support and leadership to on-site field teams, fostering a collaborative and effective work environment.
- Collaborate with project Superintendents to oversee daily production activities, ensuring work is performed efficiently and safely.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to facilitate effective communication and secure future business opportunities.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the company’s quality standards.
- Review project estimates for accuracy and ensure their correct entry into job cost systems.
- Lead pre-job and on-going planning meetings, making sure all stakeholders understand contract terms, schedules, and project requirements.
- Document meeting outcomes and ensure all action items are completed in a timely manner.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules as required to reflect changes and maintain project momentum.
- Coordinate personnel assignments to ensure staffing aligns with project schedules and requirements.
- Manage subcontract and equipment buyouts, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.
- Conduct daily visits to job sites or on-site offices to oversee progress and resolve issues as they arise.
- Perform work inspections, check job progress, and resolve any project or contract-related issues proactively.
- Identify and address potential project risks, developing and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Track all scope changes and ensure they are properly documented and incorporated into the project’s scope of work.
- Provide accurate material takeoffs, estimates, and pricing for any changes to the project scope.
- Lead and participate in project meetings as required by clients and company guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience managing mechanical construction projects, with renovation experience considered a plus
- Demonstrated experience negotiating construction change orders and delivering effective project presentations
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex project challenges
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including professional presentation capabilities
- Ability to interpret contracts, project plans, specifications, schematics, and isometric drawings
- Proficiency in technical and business letter writing
- Experience using computerized job cost accounting systems
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Excel
- Understanding of financial models for fixed price, cost plus, and unit rate/price contracting
- Ability to work from job trailers, on-site, or off-site office settings, and to safely navigate construction sites
- Flexibility to be on-call as required, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays to support client operations
- Daily presence on job sites to inspect work, monitor progress, and facilitate meetings
