Mechanical Project Manager - Summary
- Lead and manage commercial mechanical construction projects with a focus on plumbing and HVAC systems from estimation through completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with executive management, estimating, and field operations teams to define scope, establish project objectives, and develop execution plans.
- Represent the company in client and project meetings, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans in collaboration with executive management and key stakeholders.
- Implement and uphold strict safety protocols, conducting routine safety observations and prioritizing a culture of safety.
- Conduct pre-planning meetings, establish and monitor project budgets, and create detailed schedules for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Set and enforce project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Provide regular updates to executive management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate weekly meetings with field staff to ensure alignment and address project needs.
- Oversee procurement and purchasing activities for equipment and materials.
- Manage all financial aspects of project contracts, including quarterly cost-to-complete reports and monthly billings.
- Review and approve subcontractor billing statements.
- Document and communicate project issues or pending problems to management and recommend solutions.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate management, including Project Engineer duties when required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in leading commercial piping projects with a dual focus on plumbing and HVAC.
- Strong familiarity with commercial construction and engineering design concepts; design-build project experience highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to apply effective management techniques to maximize team performance and ensure project success.
- Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, lift up to 15 pounds, and access construction areas such as ladders, trenches, and confined spaces.
- Capacity to read printed and digital documents, communicate effectively in noisy environments, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
