Mechanical Project Engineer - Summary
- Support project management activities for plumbing and HVAC construction projects.
- Work closely with project managers and field supervisors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Engage with all project stakeholders, including design teams and BIM coordinators.
- Assist in project planning, execution, and financial monitoring.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Project Manager in all aspects of mechanical construction, with a focus on plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with field supervisors and attend project meetings as needed.
- Maintain and update project logs to reflect current project status.
- Assist in pricing and processing change orders.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) alongside the Project Manager.
- Participate in the submittal and procurement processes to ensure timely project delivery.
- Work with the BIM department, attending coordination meetings as necessary.
- Download, organize, and distribute project files and documents to team members.
- Coordinate responses from the design team and ensure distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Help develop man-loading charts with foremen and superintendents.
- Ensure timely submissions to the contractor and support project projection activities.
- Perform administrative tasks such as printing and copying as directed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering management, construction management, mechanical engineering, or closely related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in plumbing or mechanical systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
- Ability to listen, follow instructions, and demonstrate reliability in task completion.
