Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform project estimating, including detailed take-offs and comprehensive cost analysis for mechanical and HVAC systems.
- Develop and maintain project scheduling, including effective manpower scheduling and timeline management.
- Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely and accurate communication between project stakeholders.
- Prepare and review submittal packages and manage the flow of contractor-provided submittal data for all mechanical components.
- Assist in populating required project forms and documentation, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and monitor project progress billings, ensuring alignment with project milestones and client requirements.
- Assist in the technical analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to HVAC air equipment, HVAC piping systems, and plumbing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to resolve technical challenges and improve project outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline is recommended.
- Minimum of five years’ industry experience as a Construction Project Engineer or in a similar mechanical engineering/project management role.
- Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing design, system operation, and commercial or industrial construction sequences.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and testing procedures for HVAC systems.
- Proficiency with ASHRAE data and guidelines for mechanical systems.
- Competency with MS Project scheduling tools, MS Access or similar database programs, and strong proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and effectively interact with project teams.
- Strong organizational abilities for handling, archiving, and maintaining technical project data.
- Demonstrated experience in project administration, scheduling, productivity analysis, cost control accounting, and procurement of equipment and materials.
