Mechanical Project Engineer - Summary
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conceptual design through commissioning
- Transform mechanical system requirements into high-performance, integrated building solutions
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure project excellence and code compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth
- Represent Stark Tech in customer and stakeholder communications
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, including conceptualization, detailed design, construction support, and commissioning
- Apply advanced knowledge of HVAC, hydronic, and central plant systems to develop robust and efficient solutions
- Conduct load calculations, equipment selection, and design air/fluid distribution systems
- Prepare Basis of Design documents, narratives, specifications, and detailed construction documentation
- Define sequences of operation and integrate mechanical systems with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Lead system retrofits, upgrades, and performance optimization analyses
- Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, controls, and architectural teams
- Ensure strict compliance with codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Mentor and guide engineering and design staff to enhance project quality and constructability
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams, driving business value

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical building systems or energy-driven infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated project leadership and cross-functional team management experience
- Professional certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields highly desirable
- Expertise in HVAC system design, load calculations, and central plant systems
- Thorough understanding of codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-specific modeling, analytics, and design software
