Mechanical Engineer (PE, HVAC) – Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects for building infrastructure, ensuring projects meet or exceed quality, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Administer all phases of assigned projects, from proposal development to construction completion.
- Conduct feasibility studies and energy audits to provide actionable insights and recommendations for clients.
- Develop detailed mechanical/HVAC system designs utilizing industry-standard software and best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, industry partners, project stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project goals are clearly defined and achieved.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, partners, and staff, explaining complex engineering concepts in clear, accessible language.
- Utilize load modeling software (e.g., Trace 700, Trace 3D Plus, HAP) and hydronic simulation tools (e.g., PipeFLO, AFT Fathom) to support design work.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and reliable project management.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and correspondence using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and project management, particularly in building infrastructure and HVAC systems
- Proficiency in load modeling and hydronic simulation software is highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining client and team relationships
- Experience using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure
