Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive sonographic examinations with a focus on maternal fetal medicine, including NT, BPP, AFI, and gynecological imaging.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as GE E8 Sonography and Digisonics to obtain high-quality images and data for diagnostic purposes.
- Verify physicians' orders, review patient histories, and assess symptoms to confirm that clinical criteria are met for each examination.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals during specialized imaging procedures or biopsies, ensuring patient safety and accuracy of results.
- Maintain an organized, sanitary work environment and conduct routine quality control checks on all sonography equipment.
- Mentor and provide guidance to students and new staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
- Document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically utilizing Epic software for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety standards related to ultrasound imaging procedures.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients throughout the imaging process, addressing any questions or concerns.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program (Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience preferred, with a strong foundation in maternal fetal medicine and OB/GYN imaging.
- Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification required, or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Proficiency in performing fetal echocardiograms is preferred but not required.
- Strong technical skills in operating GE E8 equipment, Digisonics, and Epic EMR.
