The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician (MFM) will join a practice renowned for clinical excellence, innovation, and a commitment to patient-centered care. You will work alongside a team of four experienced MFM physicians, skilled sonographers, medical assistants, and genetic counselors in a supportive and resource-rich environment. The position is primarily outpatient-based, with inpatient consultation responsibilities, and includes shared on-call duties with OB Hospitalists for delivery support.
This role offers access to cutting-edge diagnostic modalities, including advanced ultrasound techniques, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal echocardiography, and intrauterine procedures. You will be part of a facility that supports over 6,000 annual deliveries, features a Level IV NICU, and provides comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support. The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician (MFM) will also have the opportunity to teach and mentor residents and medical students, contributing to the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician (MFM) - Summary- Join a multidisciplinary team providing advanced perinatal care in Sacramento, California
- Focus on consultative, diagnostic, and procedural care for high-risk pregnancies
- Engage in academic teaching and mentorship

- Provide comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine services, including consults and management of complex pregnancies
- Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures: ultrasound, amniocentesis, CVS, fetal echocardiography, and select intrauterine procedures
- Collaborate closely with OB Hospitalists, neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, genetic counselors, and sonographers
- Share daytime and on-call coverage for both outpatient and inpatient consultations
- Participate in the education and supervision of medical students and residents
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary case reviews
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

- MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (no lapsed board certifications)
- Experience with fetal echocardiography and CVS preferred
- Willingness to reside locally in Sacramento, California (no commuter or remote arrangements)
- Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted medical license in California
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
