Materials Clerk - Summary
- Responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of materials.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Compare items in shipments with specified receiving or shipping documents, such as purchase orders, packing slips, pick slips, and invoices.
- Conduct visual inspections of items to check for damage, corrosion, rust, or scratches.
- Complete and initial required documentation to confirm quantity, part identification, and receiving or shipping information.
- Prepare and submit Nonconformance reports when discrepancies are found.
- Ensure shipments are marked, labeled, and packaged according to specified rules and regulations.
- Verify and input basic material status information using computer terminals or inventory management systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as necessary for operational efficiency.
- Pack and label items in accordance with IATA and DOT regulations, and complete Shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods when required.
- Support warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and shipping functions, as outlined below:
- Receiving: Compare received items with purchase orders and packing slips, conduct visual checks, count, separate, label, and package parts for storage or shipment.
- Inventory Control: Store items in designated areas, pull parts from inventory to fill orders, check items for condition, verify documentation, and prepare items for export in compliance with regulations.
- Shipping/Warehouse Operations: Perform receiving and inventory control functions for various materials, operate forklifts or similar equipment, assist in moving shipments to staging areas, and prepare final shipping documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
