Material Handler Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive shipping and receiving duties, ensuring all incoming and outgoing materials are processed promptly and accurately.
- Manage warehouse inventory using established protocols and warehouse management systems to track and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Utilize warehouse management systems for efficient tracking, location, and management of materials throughout the facility.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor as needed, supporting overall warehouse operations and contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Conduct order picking with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency, preparing products for shipment or internal use.
- Operate heavy equipment, including reach trucks and order pickers, to handle and transport materials within the warehouse safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas, ensuring all handling complies with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and operational policies.
- Prior experience in shipping and receiving roles within a warehouse or similar setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively under the guidance of a Warehouse Supervisor and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated proficiency in order picking processes and experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, essential for managing inventory and fulfilling orders accurately.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks as required by the position.
