Material Handlers are responsible for receiving, moving, organizing, and storing materials such as rolls, products, and supplies. You will regularly unload material rolls from deliveries, transport products throughout the warehouse and production area, and safely place materials onto pallets for both production and storage. Daily tasks also include inspecting materials for damage, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
With a focus on supporting both the warehouse and production teams, Material Handlers are vital in helping operations run smoothly. You may also be asked to assist with inventory counts and track materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely delivery of materials to the correct locations. This position often requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve bending, pushing, pulling, and moving materials throughout your shift.
The work environment is typically a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting, where teamwork and communication are essential. You may be required to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, to meet production needs. Forklift experience is a plus but not required, and previous experience in material handling, manufacturing, or warehouse operations is preferred but not mandatory. Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a focus on safety are critical to success in this role.
