The Material Handler plays an essential role in the manufacturing and production environment by ensuring the seamless movement and management of goods and materials throughout the facility. This position is responsible for both the physical and administrative aspects of handling materials, including receiving, stocking, transporting, and tracking inventory items. Material Handlers support production efficiency by providing timely delivery of raw materials and purchased goods to workstations, assisting with inventory cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records for all material movements. Duties & Responsibilities
- Locate, retrieve, and deliver materials required for production jobs and workstations as scheduled.
- Remove materials from completed jobs and return them to designated storage locations, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping.
- Issue and return materials as instructed by supervisors or production leads, following established procedures for inventory control.
- Supply materials and components to all assigned jobs efficiently, helping to maintain continuous workflow on the production floor.
- Unload incoming materials from deliveries and place them in proper storage areas for departmental consumption.
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
- Support safe working habits by adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, promptly identifying and correcting unsafe conditions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper storage and handling of all materials and equipment.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment as needed and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with various departments to facilitate the smooth movement of materials and support cross-departmental needs.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support the overall operation of the facility.
- Utilize basic math skills to perform inventory counts, measurements, and calculations as required for daily tasks.
- Use basic computer skills to document material movements, update inventory records, and communicate with team members as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
