Marketing Data Engineer - Summary
- Lead the migration of marketing data from legacy platforms (e.g., Adobe Campaign Classic) to advanced platforms such as Zeta.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of audience data and integration stability throughout migration projects.
- Collaborate with IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve data issues and uphold data governance standards post-migration.
- Manage customer identity resolution, maintaining accurate opt-in, opt-out, and preference data across all marketing channels.
- Prepare and validate customer attributes and event data for use in personalized messaging and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
- Provide analytical support by reconciling performance data and delivering executive-ready explanations for performance variances.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Validate and map data structures between marketing platforms, resolving discrepancies to ensure audience parity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in partnership with technical teams and vendors, ensuring activation and identity governance.
- Oversee the management of customer identity data, including preferences, opt-in, and opt-out records across marketing systems.
- Develop, test, and validate data processes to support personalized, triggered, and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
- Reconcile and analyze marketing performance data, supporting the preparation of reports and executive summaries regarding campaign outcomes.
- Assist in the documentation and enhancement of data migration procedures and best practices to ensure ongoing data quality.

- Demonstrated experience leading migrations between email/marketing platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Zeta.
- Strong understanding of audience validation, suppression logic, data schema mapping, and data governance principles.
- Hands-on experience with customer identity resolution and preference data management across multiple marketing channels.
- Proficiency in SQL and API integration work, including troubleshooting and validation of event data.
- Ability to manage complex data migration projects and deliver accurate, timely results in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
