Manufacturing Engineer - Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. This position involves leading process design initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing new technologies, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance operator safety, product quality, and efficiency.
- Research, specify, and implement manufacturing equipment in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Apply poka-yoke and robust process design principles to reduce defects and improve quality.
- Analyze workflow, equipment layouts, and space utilization to boost throughput and productivity.
- Lead project execution for new programs and process changes, including managing budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships.
- Evaluate labor, material, and production costs to facilitate effective operational planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process standards, tooling, and fixture designs.
- Support production through process troubleshooting, Kaizen events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Utilize CAD tools to design tooling, fixtures, and production layouts.
- Lead technology implementation efforts, including installation, training, and documentation development.
- Train operators and technicians on new and updated manufacturing processes.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to support business and operational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field).
- Proven experience solving complex manufacturing problems with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to present technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to automation and Industry 4.0 technologies is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and cross-functional coordination.
