Are you seeking a hands-on role in a dynamic industrial environment? We are currently searching for a dedicated Maintenance Technician Apprentice to join our full-time 1st shift team. In this essential role, you will support the ongoing operation and upkeep of equipment within a commercial laundry plant, ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly and efficiently. As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for completing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. Your focus will be on maintaining production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to emergent repair needs as they arise. This position requires strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving equipment problems, such as jams, bad or missing belts, and missing ironer tape. You will work closely with technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, and escalate technical issues to the engineering team as needed.

You should possess solid communication skills and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard. Safety is a top priority—understanding and adhering to all established safety procedures is critical, including lockout/tag out protocols and working safely in confined spaces or on hot equipment. Maintenance Technician Apprentice - Summary- Full-time opportunity supporting commercial laundry plant operations on 1st shift
- Work closely with experienced maintenance staff to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Engage in a variety of maintenance and repair activities across multiple systems
- Emphasis on preventative maintenance and quick response to emergent issues
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment
- Respond to unscheduled repairs and emergent maintenance needs as situations develop
- Identify and address equipment issues, including jams, missing or bad belts, and missing ironer tape
- Assist technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, with repairs and installations
- Maintain accurate records in the maintenance log regarding incomplete tasks and new issues
- Communicate with production supervisors about equipment status and potential impacts on production
- Ensure completion of maintenance and repairs on conveyor and overhead rail systems
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tag out and confined space entry
- Maintain a clean, safe work area for yourself and fellow associates
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
