The Maintenance Technician Apprentice plays a critical role in supporting production operations by ensuring that all equipment within a commercial laundry plant is operating efficiently and reliably. As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for carrying out daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. Your primary duty will be to monitor, maintain, and repair various types of machinery integral to laundry plant operations, such as conveyor systems and overhead rail systems. You will also be tasked with identifying issues such as jams, worn or missing belts, or missing ironer tape, and correcting these problems promptly to minimize production downtime. When complex technical issues arise, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned engineering professionals to ensure all equipment meets operational standards.
In this role, attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility, and proactive communication are essential. You will be expected to maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, report equipment status to production supervisors, and assist both internal teams and outside vendors as necessary.
