Maintenance Technician - Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of production and facility equipment. This role involves hands-on work with a wide array of machinery and systems, including gearboxes, pumps, air and hydraulic cylinders, utilities equipment, and more. Your skills in diagnosing mechanical and electrical failures, conducting repairs, and maintaining building infrastructure will be crucial to the daily operations of the facility. The Maintenance Technician position is designed for individuals with a solid background in industrial maintenance, who can effectively manage both planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and perform repairs on production equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, air/hydraulic cylinders, and process rolls.
- Maintain and service extrusion and reclaim equipment, as well as utilities systems including air compressors, water chillers, and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair 480 volt 3-phase motors and electrical control systems.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of building systems, including extrusion, thermoforming, printing machinery, grinders, blowers, plumbing systems, and more.
- Clean, lubricate, and service a variety of pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, and mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices.
- Assist with the installation and modification of new or existing building equipment and systems as needed.
- Repair and replace building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, piping, floors, and equipment.
- Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems, including fire alarms, fire pumps, and associated fire protection equipment as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a production or heavy industrial environment, with both mechanical and electrical competencies.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the use and care of tools and equipment required for facility and grounds maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
