Maintenance Technician - SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all production equipment operates efficiently within a commercial laundry plant. Duties & Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on assigned equipment to prevent unexpected breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Carry out timely and high-quality repairs on all plant machinery, including overhead rail and conveyor systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
- Respond promptly to emergent repair needs, identifying and correcting problems such as jams, bad or missing belts, and missing ironer tape.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance logs, documenting incomplete tasks and newly identified issues.
- Notify Production Supervisors regarding the status of equipment, particularly when downtime or operational impacts are anticipated, and communicate when machinery is returned to service.
- Collaborate with technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall plant operations and maintenance goals.
