The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of facility equipment and systems. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to support operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Maintenance Technician - Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently complete all assigned maintenance tasks. You will take ownership of preventive maintenance (PMs), respond to production support requests, and troubleshoot a variety of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems. The Maintenance Technician must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities as they arise. Your proactive approach and willingness to "go the extra mile" are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate tools and equipment, strictly following all safety procedures including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and hot equipment work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area for yourself and fellow associates at all times.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of machinery and demonstrate the ability to repair and maintain mechanical drive systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints as needed.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of air-operated (pneumatic) and hydraulic equipment, assisting with repairs and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Apply a foundational knowledge of welding, electrical wiring, three-phase motor wiring (high and low voltage), and industrial electronics in daily tasks.
- Support boiler operations and safety practices as required.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (PMs) on time, and assist other team members with their assigned PMs as needed.
- Respond promptly to production support requests and assist production supervisors with any maintenance-related issues.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues across pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems, using analytical skills to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all scheduled maintenance tasks for your shift are completed in a timely manner, and assist others as priorities shift.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, recording incomplete tasks and new problems for follow-up.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding equipment status, especially when downtime or production delays may occur.
- Notify supervisors when downed equipment is back online and operational.
- Demonstrate strong attendance by being punctual and ready to work at the start of each shift.
- Work overtime and weekends as necessary to support production needs and maintenance goals.
- Maintain a positive attitude and foster a team-oriented work environment.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive pay structure with advancement opportunities based on skill level and experience:
- Maintenance I: $20.00 per hour
- Maintenance II: $23.00 per hour
- Maintenance III: $26.00 per hour
- Potential for overtime pay and additional incentives based on job performance

Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems
- Ability to operate tools and heavy equipment safely
- Understanding of safety protocols including lockout/tag out, confined space, and boiler safety
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is helpful
- Basic welding skills are advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
