The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of equipment within a commercial laundry plant. This position is responsible for executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to support continuous production operations. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with monitoring assigned equipment, identifying and correcting issues such as jams, malfunctioning belts, or missing parts, and performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed. Collaboration with engineering and technical teams is essential, as is a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution. Maintenance Technician - Summary- Responsible for scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance tasks in a commercial laundry plant.
- Maintains awareness of all assigned equipment and ensures optimal operation during production.
- Troubleshoots and resolves equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborates with engineering and technical personnel as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities according to established schedules to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of all maintenance and repair tasks, including work on overhead rail systems and conveyor systems.
- Assist both internal and external technical and mechanical personnel as needed to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, recording incomplete tasks and any new problems that arise.
- Communicate effectively with production supervisors to report on the status of equipment, particularly when issues may impact production timelines or cause downtime.
- Promptly return equipment to serviceable condition following repairs or maintenance to ensure continuity of operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and maintenance objectives.
