Maintenance Technician - Summary- Oversees preventive and emergent maintenance tasks for a commercial laundry plant, ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Monitors and maintains equipment assigned during production operations, addressing any technical challenges as they arise.
- Collaborates with other maintenance team members and external vendors for complex repairs and technical assistance.
- Documents maintenance work and communicates equipment status to supervisors.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial laundry equipment, including conveyor and overhead rail systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as jams, broken belts, and malfunctioning components.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance and repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain accurate records in the maintenance log, noting incomplete tasks and identifying new problems.
- Notify production supervisors about equipment status, especially when equipment impacts production or downtime occurs.
- Assist technical and mechanical personnel, including external vendors, with repairs and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and hot equipment procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring safety for oneself and coworkers.
