Maintenance Technician - Summary- Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of production equipment in a commercial laundry plant setting.
- Performs both scheduled preventive maintenance and emergent repairs as required.
- Works closely with engineering and production supervisors to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintains accurate records and ensures compliance with safety standards.
- Conducts preventive maintenance activities on all assigned equipment according to the established schedule.
- Completes repairs and maintenance tasks, including work on overhead rail systems, conveyor systems, and other production machinery.
- Assists technical and mechanical personnel, including external vendors, to address complex maintenance issues.
- Maintains a detailed maintenance log with entries regarding incomplete tasks and newly identified problems.
- Communicates promptly with production supervisors regarding the status of equipment, especially when issues may impact production or cause downtime.
- Identifies and resolves issues such as jams, worn or missing belts, and missing ironer tape on assigned equipment.
- Seeks technical assistance from engineering when necessary for more complex issues.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support overall plant operations.
