The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of equipment within a commercial laundry plant. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual who can perform both scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to emergent repairs as they arise. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping assigned equipment in optimal working order during production operations, working collaboratively with engineering and technical teams as needed. By maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of mechanical systems, the Maintenance Technician supports overall production efficiency and workplace safety.
In this role, the Maintenance Technician will focus on all aspects of equipment upkeep, including identifying and correcting problems such as jams, malfunctioning belts, or missing parts, and ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician must maintain accurate maintenance logs, communicate effectively with production supervisors regarding equipment status, and assist outside vendors or technical personnel as required. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery and safety procedures, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Maintenance Technician - Summary- Responsible for performing preventive and emergent maintenance on commercial laundry plant equipment.
- Ensures smooth operation of machinery during production processes.
- Maintains accurate maintenance logs and communicates equipment status to supervisors.
- Collaborates with engineering, technical staff, and outside vendors as necessary.
- Upholds all safety protocols and keeps the work area clean and hazard-free.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment, including conveyor and overhead rail systems.
- Address emergent repairs such as jams, malfunctioning belts, or missing ironer tape.
- Assist technical/mechanical personnel and outside vendors with repairs and projects as needed.
- Maintain detailed entries in the maintenance log regarding incomplete tasks and newly identified issues.
- Notify production supervisors if equipment status may affect production or cause downtime, and communicate when equipment is back online.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and protocols for working on hot equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area for yourself and colleagues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
