Maintenance Technician - Summary- Responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment in a commercial laundry plant.
- Executes both scheduled preventive maintenance and emergent repairs to minimize downtime.
- Works collaboratively with other technical personnel and outside vendors as needed.
- Keeps detailed records of maintenance activities and communicates equipment status to supervisors.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal operation and to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Address non-scheduled repairs promptly, including issues such as jams, missing or broken belts, and missing ironer tape.
- Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor and overhead rail systems.
- Assist technical and mechanical personnel, including external vendors, when specialized expertise or additional support is required.
- Document all maintenance work in a maintenance log, recording incomplete tasks and identifying new or recurring issues.
- Notify production supervisors of any equipment failures or repairs that could impact production schedules or cause downtime, and provide updates when equipment is back online.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace for personal and team safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the plant's operational needs.
