We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the facility's structures, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting daily operations, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair facility infrastructure, including structural components, equipment, and grounds, to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, responding to issues and emergencies as necessary.
- Execute skilled trades work such as carpentry, painting, and the construction, repair, or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixtures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing or process engineering teams to assist in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required for production processes.
- Conduct periodic and special inspections of the premises to assess and identify necessary repair work, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Interpret and work from basic blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches to complete repairs and projects accurately.
- Safely handle and transport materials and equipment, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required for assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance, building repair, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, along with general carpentry and painting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and working in various environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
