Working as a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks, maintaining awareness of all assigned equipment, and ensuring optimal equipment functionality during production operations. This role requires a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and emergent repairs while collaborating with technical and engineering teams as needed. Maintenance Technician Apprentice - Summary- Responsible for performing all scheduled and non-scheduled daily maintenance tasks within a commercial laundry facility.
- Maintains continuous awareness of assigned equipment during production operations to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Performs preventive maintenance, emergent repairs, and identifies/corrects equipment issues, such as jams, missing belts, and ironer tape problems.
- Collaborates with the engineering and technical teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintains accurate maintenance logs and communicates effectively with production supervisors regarding equipment status.
- Conducts preventive maintenance activities on all assigned equipment as scheduled in the maintenance plan.
- Ensures timely and high-quality completion of all maintenance and repairs, including work on overhead rail systems and conveyor systems.
- Supports technical and mechanical personnel, including coordination with outside vendors as required.
- Maintains detailed records in the maintenance log, noting incomplete tasks and identifying new equipment issues.
- Informs production supervisors of any equipment issues that may impact production or cause downtime, and updates when equipment is back online.
- Keeps work areas organized, clean, and safe in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

- Working knowledge of mechanical drive systems, conveyor systems, and overhead rail systems.
- Ability to assist with repairs and maintenance of various industrial equipment within the laundry facility.
