Mailroom Clerk - Summary
As a Mailroom Clerk, you will be at the center of the organization's communication and logistics network. Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate departments or personnel in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process outgoing mail, including packaging, labeling, weighing, and affixing postage as needed.
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as postage meters, envelope openers, scanners, and printers.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages, using manual logs or electronic tracking systems.
- Coordinate with courier services and delivery vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of packages.
- Monitor and replenish mailroom supplies such as envelopes, postage, shipping labels, and packing materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding mail and package security and confidentiality.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents as needed.
- Support other departments with special mailing projects, bulk shipments, or urgent deliveries.
- Keep the mailroom organized, clean, and safe, following all health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a mailroom, administrative, or clerical position is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Proficiency with office equipment and basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and electronic tracking systems.
