Machine Operator Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operator for our injection molding facility, offering full-time employment in Hayward, CA. As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in performing standard machine operations and assembly tasks to ensure production goals and quality standards are met. This position involves working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment where consistent attention to safety, quality, and process improvement is essential.
Responsibilities- Operate assigned machinery and perform standardized work processes in the injection molding facility to meet production requirements.
- Communicate and report defective materials or any questionable conditions promptly to the Production Supervisor, Cell Lead, or designated personnel.
- Sort, inspect, and rework products for reject and non-conformance; package finished products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, following prescribed safety regulations and 5S methodologies to organize and clean designated areas daily.
- Provide suggestions for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of standardized work procedures and plant operations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with basic machine functions in order to carry out required operator assembly tasks, using cutters, blades, or fixtures as needed to rework or assemble parts.
- Accept and respond positively to frequent supervision and assistance regarding operational and assembly procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and participate in safety programs, complying with all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including proper gowning and attire.
- Less than high school education accepted; high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer proficiency is required for basic operational tasks and reporting.
- Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for work performance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Effective communication skills to share information and report quality issues with co-workers and supervisors.
