As a Low Voltage Technician, you will take on a leadership role on-site, directing and inspecting project work, as well as training and supporting less experienced technicians. Your responsibilities will include the complete installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and testing of low-voltage systems such as voice, data, fire alarm, fiber optics, burglar alarms, CCTV, access control, digital signage, and networking. You will serve as a key point of escalation for client issues, driving resolutions and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through your technical expertise and professionalism.
This position requires at least two years of relevant experience in low-voltage installations or services, along with proficiency in at least five core technology areas. Industry certifications such as BICSI Installer 1, OSHA 30, and LIFT are required and must be maintained. Additional manufacturer certifications, local installer licenses, and compliance with HIPAA training standards are also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of structured cabling and a strong grasp of technologies including CCTV, intrusion detection, fire alarms, access control systems, and network infrastructure.
