Litigation Paralegal Job OverviewARC Group is seeking a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join a well-established personal injury law firm in Tampa, FL on a full-time basis. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys through all phases of the litigation process, particularly in personal injury cases. Key Responsibilities- Prepare case files for mediation, including compiling medical billing spreadsheets and coordinating with team members to obtain updated billing and records.
- Serve as a liaison among all parties in personal injury litigation, including courts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders, to facilitate scheduling and information sharing.
- Organize and manage legal documents, create and maintain spreadsheets, and develop retrieval systems to ensure accurate and efficient record-keeping.
- Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents, and respond to discovery requests in compliance with legal standards and deadlines.
- Assist with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings.
- Summarize deposition and trial transcripts as well as exhibits to support case strategy and trial preparation.
- Schedule depositions, mediations, and court dates, and manage client communications to ensure case milestones are met.
- Monitor compliance with court-imposed deadlines, prepare witness and expert witness lists, and ensure timely serving of complaints.
- Prepare and serve proposals for settlement, supporting the legal team’s negotiation efforts throughout the litigation process.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on personal injury litigation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of personal injury case processes, including trial preparation, trial execution, and post-trial activities.
- Experience with electronic filing (E-Filing) systems and familiarity with both state and federal court filing protocols.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook essential for document management and correspondence.
