Linen Services Manager - Summary
- Responsible for managing all aspects of hospital linen distribution and collection.
- Serves as a primary contact between hospital departments and the linen processing plant.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assign duties and delegate tasks to distribution staff based on operational needs.
- Plan and schedule the receiving, recording, distribution, and collection of hospital linens.
- Oversee the housekeeping and cleanliness of the linen room and related work areas.
- Conduct general and spot inspections of laundered articles to ensure compliance with OSHA and JCAHO standards.
- Maintain accurate records related to department attendance, production efficiencies, and linen tracking.
- Communicate regularly with hospital departments to gather feedback and address linen service requirements.
- Participate in central linen standardization committees as needed.
- Interview, orient, and train new distribution employees.
- Provide services to departments with unique linen requirements as necessary.
- Report instances of overuse, abuse, or misuse of linens, and recommend appropriate actions to management.
- Cover duties for distribution personnel during absences to ensure uninterrupted service.
