Linen Distribution Technician - Summary
- Support hospital operations by distributing clean linen and collecting soiled items according to set procedures.
- Ensure all linen carts are fully stocked, organized, and meet the required par levels for each department.
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff to fulfill linen requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the linen room, contributing to a safe and hygienic environment.
- Follow all company policies, including attendance, dress code, and safety guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble, stock, and deliver clean linen carts throughout the hospital to meet departmental needs.
- Collect soiled linen from various floors and transport it to designated areas for processing.
- Take and fulfill linen orders from hospital staff, ensuring accuracy and prompt service.
- Clean and maintain the linen storage areas, including sweeping, mopping, and general organization.
- Open and prepare new linen for distribution as needed.
- Stage and align carts for efficient workflow and easy access.
- Report inventory levels and assist with record-keeping as required.
- Comply with all safety procedures, universal precautions, and infection control protocols.
- Maintain professional communication and a courteous attitude with team members and hospital staff.
- Other duties as assigned to support the efficiency and effectiveness of linen distribution services.
