Linen Distribution Technician - Summary
- Operate linen room functions and ensure organized distribution and collection of hospital linens.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver clean linen to various departments within the hospital as scheduled.
- Collect soiled linen carts from all floors, particularly on second shift assignments.
- Take and fulfill linen orders from hospital staff with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
- Ensure all exchange carts are delivered to designated floors in accordance with hospital procedures.
- Pick up soiled linen and transport it to the receiving dock, ensuring proper handling and safety.
- Monitor and consolidate soiled carts as needed to maximize efficiency in linen collection.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly to maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain a neat and organized linen room at the end of each shift, preparing for the next day’s operations.
- Build and stock clean carts to meet standard par levels, ensuring departments have sufficient supplies.
- Perform routine cleaning of the linen room, including sweeping, mopping, and general tidiness.
- Align and stage carts as needed to optimize workflow and accessibility.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support hospital needs.
