The Linen Distribution Technician plays a critical role in ensuring hospital environments remain sanitary, organized, and well-maintained by providing prompt distribution and collection of linens. This full-time position is centered on maintaining fully stocked linen closets and carts throughout healthcare facilities, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and order are met. The Linen Distribution Technician is responsible for the efficient supply and retrieval of both clean and soiled linens, contributing significantly to the smooth operation of hospital services. Those in this role must be adept at working independently, possess physical stamina, and demonstrate attention to detail when tracking inventory using an Apple iPad or similar technology.

As a Linen Distribution Technician, you will strictly adhere to all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook, including maintaining professional appearance and punctual attendance. This position involves wearing a uniform and upholding a neat, courteous demeanor at all times. The role requires an individual who is reliable, committed to safety, and able to maintain cleanliness and organization of company equipment and linen storage areas. The technician is also expected to follow all safety protocols and demonstrate a professional attitude in every interaction with hospital staff and colleagues.

The Linen Distribution Technician’s daily tasks include stocking and organizing linen carts to meet predetermined par levels for each area, fulfilling linen requests from hospital personnel, and promptly collecting soiled linens for laundering. Meticulous record-keeping and inventory management are essential, as is the ability to use electronic devices for tracking purposes. This position requires physical strength and endurance, as it involves lifting loads up to 50 lbs. and pushing or pulling wheeled carts that may weigh up to 650 lbs. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends and holidays, is necessary to ensure the hospital’s linen supply needs are consistently met.
