Linen Distribution Technician - Summary
- Responsible for distributing clean linen and collecting soiled linens throughout the hospital.
- Ensures all linen carts are fully stocked and organized to meet departmental needs.
- Maintains accurate inventory records and follows all company and hospital policies related to linen management.
- Adheres to rigorous safety and sanitation protocols to protect staff and patients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build, stock, and organize linen carts to meet established par levels for each department.
- Deliver clean linen to various hospital departments, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Collect soiled linen carts from all floors, particularly during second-shift operations as needed.
- Take and fill linen orders requested by hospital staff members.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the linen room, including sweeping, mopping, and general tidiness.
- Open new linen packages for processing and align/stage carts as necessary for delivery or pickup.
- Follow all safety procedures, including universal precautions and handling protocols.
- Report any issues or concerns related to customer service or satisfaction promptly to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support hospital operations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by hospital policy.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 650 lbs.
- Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
