You will be responsible for ensuring all user areas have sufficient clean linen, maintaining strict hygiene standards in the linen room, and upholding regulatory compliance. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assign duties and delegate tasks to distribution staff as needed to ensure efficient operations.
- Plan and schedule the receiving, recording, distribution, and collection of linens to meet hospital needs.
- Oversee housekeeping and maintain cleanliness in the linen room and associated work areas.
- Conduct general and spot inspections of laundered articles to assure compliance with OSHA and JCAHO requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for department attendance, production efficiency, and linen tracking.
- Communicate regularly with hospital departments to gather feedback and address linen service needs.
- Participate in hospital linen standardization committees as required to optimize processes.
- Interview, orient, and train new distribution employees to support a high-performance team.
- Provide specialized linen services to departments with unique requirements as needed.
- Monitor and report overuse, misuse, or abuse of linens, recommending corrective actions to management.
- Cover for distribution staff during absences to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
