This position is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery and pick-up of linen carts, strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines, and upholding company policies at all times. The Linen Delivery Driver must maintain a professional appearance and a clean driving record, exhibiting exceptional customer service skills throughout each interaction. Each day begins with a thorough pre-trip vehicle inspection and preparation for scheduled routes. The Linen Delivery Driver manages the loading and unloading of linen carts, careful tagging, and documentation of each delivery, ensuring accountability and traceability for every item handled. The driver is responsible for disinfecting vehicles after each soil pick-up, contributing to infection control and safety within healthcare environments.
In addition, the Linen Delivery Driver is expected to promptly report any mechanical issues, maintain daily paperwork and logs, and communicate any challenges or concerns related to customer service. Adherence to safety protocols, including universal precautions when handling soiled linens, is essential. The driver must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and maneuvering wheeled carts weighing up to 700 lbs. Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and are required to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and motor vehicle record (MVR) background check.

Linen Delivery Driver - Summary- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery and pick-up of linens to healthcare facilities.
- Upholds all safety and hygiene protocols to support infection control.
- Represents Crothall Laundry Services professionally through appearance and customer service.
- Maintains and documents vehicle conditions and delivery activities daily.
- Acts as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns.
- Load and unload linen carts at company and client facilities, tagging carts as necessary.
- Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork and logs on a daily basis.
- Weigh soiled linens by customer, transport them to the designated soil room, and deliver clean linens as scheduled.
- Disinfect company vehicles after each soil pick-up to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Wear the assigned uniform and maintain a neat and professional appearance every workday.
- Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately to the chief engineer.
- Comply with all Crothall Laundry Services policies, including attendance and safety.
- Follow all DOT regulations and maintain required documentation and certifications.
- Communicate any customer service issues or delivery concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Execute all duties with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
